Eastprint produces flat and tactile membrane switch assemblies in an unlimited
number of configurations, employing a wide variety of technologies specific
to each custom application.
From initial design in conjunction with your engineers, to 100% electrical
testing of all circuits, Eastprint oversees every step of the production
process, ensuring the highest possible quality and reliability.
The typical six-layer membrane switch assembly from Eastprint consists
of graphic overlay, graphic adhesive, top circuit, circuit spacer, bottom
circuit and rear adhesive layers. Silver ink circuits are printed on polyester
with dielectric ink protecting crossovers and exposed traces. These assemblies
may then incorporate any number of user-specific features, including:

- Metal dome, PushGate, tactile graphic and polydome
tactile feel switches
- Tactile or non-tactile silicone rubber overlays
- Full or discreet backlighting by LEDs, electro- luminescence
or fiber optics
- Conductive silver ink shields, metallized Mylar®
or ITO (indium tin oxide) shields offer EMI/RFI and ESD protection
- Surface-mounted components on flexible circuits (LEDs, resistors,
capacitors and discrete memory chips)
- Polyester or polycarbonate film graphic overlays with hardcoating
and/or surface texturing
- Design options such as metal backers, plastic bezels, inserted
windows, pillow and ridge-style graphic embossing, deadfront graphics,
tinted windows and interchangeable graphics
